You hear all this talk about “macros”, but what does it actually mean? Macronutrients are those which make up the majority of our diets, compared to micronutrients (e.g. vitamins and minerals) which are needed by our bodies in smaller amounts. In short, the term "macros" refers to the 3 main macronutrients: protein, carbohydrates and fats.

Natalie joined CrossFit 6S one year ago (happy anniversary!) and has been a shining star since the moment she walked into our door! She joined the Powerlifting and CrossFit programs without any prior experience, and is now regularly attending both & testing herself in different local competitions. In addition to Natalie's athleticism and ability to pick up things quickly (I mean, have you seen her handstands!?), Natalie is a ray of sunshine in the gym and embodies everything we're about at 6S.
We want to acknowledge all of our members, for their continuous hard work and dedication to improving their health and fitness - you are all such an inspiration! On the last weekend of the coldest month of the year, Six Lifts Weightlifting fielded the largest ever team to compete at the largest meet hosted by the Ontario Weightlifting Association, the Ontario Masters Open at St. Thomas. Lou, Tom, Marino, Gobhi, Jon, and Whitney competed amongst over 130 athletes over the course of two days and every single one of them put up a stellar performance. This was also the single biggest team I have ever coached at a single competition and I certainly could not have done it without the support of the team at Six Lifts Weightlifting.
