Eddie brings a presence to the gym that can't be missed. He shows up, puts in the work and doesn't complain, all while being an inspiration to others. When Eddie misses a class, the first question everyone asks is "Where's Eddie?"
Eddie started out in CrossFit, but quickly found his love for lifting weights and transitioned seamlessly into Hank's Powerhouse. Eddie quickly settled in and became a positive role model for all the lifters and members of CF6S and Hank's Powerhouse. Last year, he competed in 3 powerlifting competitions! His first one was full of PRs and success. An aggressive weight cut for his second meet had him tired and not his usual self, and unfortunately, he ended up missing all his squats. Typically, this would rattle any competitive powerlifter, but Eddie held his head high, learnt from this experience and came back to training with even more motivation and determination. He went into his third meet seeking redemption and this is exactly what he got! He hit competition PRs in all his lifts and made 8/9 lifts - talk about a comeback!
In training, Eddie is always supportive of his fellow members and pushes them to succeed. As Eddie slings big weights in the gym, the bar is always bending. This may seem intimidating to others, but don't be fooled, Eddie is as kind as he is strong.
We are so lucky to have Eddie at CF6S and we're all looking forward to many more memories, PRs and competitions together!
